At the E-nd-S

Tuesday, August 22, 2006

  • Some good and some mishaps of a planned weekend – for the deal that never happens but still continues
  • A balance sheet that doesn’t match when a revenue source is added - a curse on the community called accountants
  • A neighbor who was inconspicuous to my constant ramblings and never seemed to leave the desk (at work when I come in for the day and at work when I leave for the day) seems to have the role reversed
  • The excited Mumbai-ite who lived in Delhi seems to spend more time in Mumbai but is still never seen around
  • “Still Single” – a play that pushes some people to spot the (in)eligible lawyers for their investment banking single female friend
  • Out of the Blue, Fountain Sizzlers and Le Royal Meridian treat the damsel with pride and prejudice
  • Bombay meets Pune, Bombay meets Bangalore, Bombay meets Delhi, but then Bombay never meets Bombay!!

Mumbai Trains

Wednesday, August 09, 2006

One of those things that I was so much averse to before stepping on Mumbai… heard from many that someone like me would hate such a crowded place and should stay near workplace… but then, I just decided to stay away and experience the trains, hate them myself, and then move somewhere closer… yeah, I would move closer to office some time next year but then I haven’t really hated the trains, except may be until I got used to them. I know it takes long to travel and I curse the time lost when I look at my watch, but then the 30 minutes I spend in the crowded train in the morning, enjoying the breeze and lost in an imaginary world……………………. the same kinda feeling that I used to have when I used to take the 10 minute morning walk to my first workplace!

Twists and turns!

Tuesday, August 08, 2006

Life’s full circles… they never seem to end. One more comes and goes as fast as it could but still hits hard… but then the rock is getting more solid (hope so)… for good or bad, I don’t know! But definitely the smiles continue…
