Half way into the Beginning...

Saturday, May 21, 2005

I have been thinking of blogging for a real long time and have atlast laid the foundation stone! I am at the Indian School of Business doing my one year fast track MBA and would be sharing my life's events out here.

I am already half way into my first term before I write my first blog. So I dont promise any regularity in what I am doing :)

I joined on april 15th and had a week of pre-term classes which I attended and also bunked a few classes (right in the first week!)... followed by a week of orientation which was fun. Before the classes begun, we also had the talent night where the class of 2006 showcased their immense talents. I taught 6 couples to do Tango and I felt really good when I saw them dance on stage :)

When the classes begun in May, we didn't know what hit us. Time has been flying really fast and we have already given our mid term exam! Can't believe that the term would end soon on jun 7th. We have 8 terms in the year and we do about 4 courses every term. This term, we have Managerial Economics taught by Amit Bubna from ISB, Financial Accounting taught by Mark Finn from Kellogg, Marketing Management taught by Scott Ward from Wharton and Asim Ansari from Columbia and Statistics taught by Robert Stine and Richard Waterman from Wharton. The faculty is the major positive factor at ISB and I couldn't have asked for better!

Today we had the statistics mid term and I have had a overdose of the course in the past one week. We have an economics assignment, two marketing cases and an accounting assignment to go for the weekend, other than the studying for monday's classes. Today I needed a real break - I watched the movie "Home Sweet Alabama" and I might go out in the evening with my friends... Tomorrow, I would be back to the MBA life again!
