Anonymous = Coward

Friday, March 10, 2006

I can never understand the rationale behind leaving anonymous comments in the blogs… I generally ignore them though some manage to instigate anger in me! I don’t know how some of my fellow bloggers put up numerous anonymous comments on their blog!

The most frequent ones make unsubstantial statements – just for the sake of saying something! Some are totally unrelated to the post… The best are the ones who ask questions without even leaving a name!

Am tempted to take away the option of anonymous comments here… but some of my friends who don’t have blogger ids leave their names in anonymous comments… don’t want to deprive that.

    Leaving comments and claiming to be anonymous comes from the desire not to take responsiblity. Ignorance is the best tactic for these cowards. Chill!!

    Aren't you being harsh on people who dont have blogger id's.Who read your blog because they like the content and have nothing personal to do with the person.Some who just want to give in a word of encouragment, or acknowledge that what they have read has made a difference to them.I've been following your blog for months now.I have only left one previous comment.To wish you luck for your placements.I can imagine how annoying anonymous comments can be and hence refrained from leaving any other.I didn't realise that all anons would be categorised as cowards by you.Very disappointing to know.

    I have nothing against anonymous comments by people who dont have blogger ids and hence leave their names in the comment.

    Even if it is disappointing, I don't give any importance to comments which are out of the blue and dont have a name behind it... so even it is a word of encouragement or acknowledgement of a difference made, there needs to be a claim for it to make any sense.
