22nd June 2005 - I can't believe I am still alive after attending lectures from 11 am till 8.30 pm today... I don't even know whether I am mentally tired or physically tired!! I guess I haven't blogged for about a week now. This week has been really demanding and its just half over... for a change, we have 6 days classes instead of the usual 4... so the coming weekend is shortened to just one day. But assignments and cases seem to be flowing non-stop... soon i would forget which case was dealing with which product! Fortunately or unfortunately, I have already fudged the line between the courses this term and using each learning(!) in other courses.A special mention about our DMO (Decision Models and optimization) Prof. Anjani Jain from Wharton. His classes are so humorous that even after the long hours of lectures, he kept us awake at the end of the day... He takes time to explain even the basic concepts. The course is very interesting and now I am repenting for neglecting the courses - Operations research and Optimization - in BITS, where I used to hate numbers. Here, its about understanding the concept and doing the analyses and the numbers are done by the software... so I am making an effort to learn these concepts atleast now and I am enjoying it.
Even with all the hectic schedule, I actually liking the life out here... Its nice to take a break, when you don't have the time to take it :-) The only thing that I miss out here and one of the things I love the most... My sleep...zzz
