Three cheers to my 'quadies' :-)

Saturday, August 20, 2005

In ISB, we live in 4-bedroom apartments, shortly called the ‘quads’ and the housemates are called the ‘quadies’. In my quad, we are only three of us - I, Simran and Shruti. When I met them on my first day here, I never thought we would be as close as we are in such a short span of time! All three of us are very different from each other – Simran is the studious one (has a masters from the London School of Economics) and the inspiration to study! Shruti is the tension gal, supposed to be the mother of the quad, but hardly so :-) She watches TV whenever she is happy and when she is not happy, she is still watching the TV. She is the famous gal in Bangalore, the radio jockey who rocked the city :-) and continues to be the DJ for all the ISB parties.

How do I reach my 8.30 am class just in time? The process actually begins at 7.30 am when the mother Simran starts to wake me up. She makes sure I am awake at least in the next 15 minutes and then by the time I get ready (which is a lot of time!), she makes amazing breakfast everyday for me! She adds variety to it every other day and she is only becoming better with time! She leaves by the time I am ready (she is always before time for any class – bad time management – variance any side is bad right?) and I enjoy the generous breakfast before I rush to class JIT!

Thanks dear ones :-)
