I like... because...

Wednesday, August 24, 2005

For the first time in ISB, I put my head down on the desk and slept in class for 5 minutes! I was so tired in the first class today that I thought closing my eyes for a few minutes would help me concentrate better for the rest of the class… but I was not spared, someone clicked snaps of my sleep!

In the afternoon, we had one of the interesting LDP sessions. The professor was talking about the ‘6 steps to greatness’ and one of the steps is ‘seeing good in others’. We had a small exercise in which we wrote small slips to others saying ‘I like you’ because of ‘these-these’ reasons… Initially when the professor said we need to write to at least 8 people, I was thinking what I am going to write! I made an honest attempt to write what I felt first about every person I gave the slip to. And it didn’t stop with 8 people… didn’t count after some time… wanted to give to every person I knew! This was just another session, but then I am sure we would all keep our slips for years and would remember this as one of our memorable days in our section.
The one I liked a lot of all the slips given to me was ‘I like you because you are like my sis’ :-)

dunno how much of sleeping in the class u've folks have... but in IIMs and XL, people sleep towards the end of second term (when exchange students depart) and wake up only in the 4th (post internship)!!

as for the second part, there used to float a mail on the internet containing a similar story and asking them to forward it to everyone u love types!! could ur prof have picked it up from there? (would be a great experiance though :])
